Architecture is NOT subjective. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of people have to deal with these inhuman monstrosities every day. Modernism is typically used as an excuse by developers to build cheaply and ram freeways through historical cities such as Richmond and Boston. Older-styled structures have more variation, look appropriate for their function, and actually look permanent.

What sort of architecture do you like then? Its okay to put down modern architecture as every one has different opinions, but your putting it down with no alternative. Your comment makes you sound like the content in your comment.

whoaah... your comment fasinates me. i'm readin a book at the moment about the relationships between human psychology and architecture. i never knew as to the depts that buildings have in influencing and shaping peoples mindsets. it goes quite far so I got to ask you to explain your viewpoint further.
