In and around JR Shibuya Station (渋谷駅). The city is getting back on it's feet after the quake/tsunami on 11 March 2011, however, the neon of Tokyo is still largely absent because of power restrictions. (You can see this at 6:30) With 2.4 million passengers on an average weekday in 2004, Shibuya Station is the fourth-busiest commuter rail station in Japan (after Shinjuku , Ikebukuro, and Ōsaka / Umeda) handling a large amount of commuter traffic between the center city and suburbs to the south and west.Shibuya (渋谷区) is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. Shibuya is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.Shibuya is famous for its scramble crossing. It is located in front of the Shibuya Station Hachikō exit and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to inundate the entire intersection. Three large TV screens mounted on nearby buildings overlook the crossing. The Starbucks store overlooking the crossing is also one of the busiest in the world

Very nice video. I gotta admit my experience in Shibuya was so-so (dinner and going to Womb afterwards), i had a lot more fun spending my nights in Shinjuku Golden-Gai/Kabukicho :D

I live near shibuya to me shibuya is bit dirty but people from other countries say its so clean. I think if I go to NY I feel its so dirty lol

I was in Tokyo 5 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. I took a couple of videos from this very same crossing. I LOVE Tokyo! TOTEMO SUBARASHI TOKYO! If things work out, I hope to be back this coming July for 3 weeks. Thank you so much for making this video. Domo arigato gozaimasu.
