One of the best videos on YouTube. Caminito Del Rey is just as impressive
looking up from the river.

For someone with a fear of heights (that'd be me!) this is an absolute
nightmare ... but the scenery is so incredibly beautiful, and the courage
of the people walking this path ... wow!!

6:18 Looks like the last part (?) is the most difficult. I don't see any
safety wire to keep you balanced in case you stumbled on those last few
steps. lol I wonder if there is any newer video after the repairs that were
done. I read up about this place and understand it was closed for a while,
including at the time of this video posting. So is everyone on here is
doing this illegally? Is anyone ever arrested/fined if it is?

Impresionante recorrido por el Caminito del Rey, en la pared del
Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, ubicado en El Chorro, a gran velocidad, con
paredes verticales con más de 100 metros de caída.

I did this about 10 years ago, had to sneak down the railway line to get
in, and it really was arse-um! I've done lots of silly things before but
this was the worst - all the others were supervised or organised or
official in some way, whereas here it really is your responsibility. If you
make a mistake, you're dead. If anything goes wrong, you're dead. And you'd
have a few seconds to scream too, if you could breathe through the shock!
When I went there was no-one else there and I only started worrying when I
saw my friend walking round a corner ahead of me (approx 4 mins into this
vid) and realised what she was walking on and what therefore I must have
looked like too. Suddenly the mental control that allows us to overcome
common sense began failing. Plus we came across a plaque to three lads
who'd died there, not shown on the video, which was a sobering reality
Ten years on and I'm 43 and watching this, my palms are sweating and I
actually feel a little unwell. Would I do it again? Yes. But would I do it
But what a brilliant film and it's brought back some extraordinary memories
and tangible feelings!
