I reluctantly scrolled to the comments section expecting a bunch of "Dem
feels" comments, but instead found 5 "Try being black" comments. Why is
everyone so obsessed with racism these days? I mean, I know it's there, but
the media over-exaggerates its popularity and gives the false impression
that the only racist people out there are republican white males.
I just wish the world could stop living in a bunch of stereotypes.

You people saying "he means Black people" completely miss the point. He's
not talking about skin colour exclusively, this is about how whenever you
self reflect upon yourself - you'll always find the bits and pieces that
you don't like about your personality, appearance or whatever, and always
wish you could be like someone else. Yet, instead of wishing to be
something else, of more value (to you, at least), you can always find the
good bits within yourself, and accept yourself for who you are - maybe even
liking yourself to an extent.
This song is a real gem, especially for kids - please don't ruin it with

It may not be easy being green, but it's better than feeling blue.

This is one of my favorite songs. Not just because of its quirkiness, its
loveliness or that Kermit sings it..I love kermit! I love this song because
of its message. It's about being different from others and being ok with
it. Many have commented its about being black, but the message of this song
is far more than just what race you is. it pertains to any of us who are
different in any way..such as a mental illness, a deformity or disease, or
a myriad of other things that can make us feel different, judged unfairly,
discriminated against, etc. It's about being positive about yourself and
being proud of who you are no matter what other people think.
