you cannot make new volume in this unallocated space becaus the disk already contains the maximum numbers of partition..... i have 103gb free memory on c drive n i did evrything as u said...m tryin to make partition of 30gb. total space on c drive is now 30gb less bt new volume isnt showing as it is unallocated space....

i have already defragged my hard drive but even though i have 108 gb free, it will only let me create a partition with 3 gb max. what do i do?

some one pls help me i have a hp pavillion dv6..750gb hard diski have only one dive now that is C..i have a free space of 630gb...but when i press shrink volume it is showing only ur available shrink volume is 352435mb which is abot 360 gb that's why is it hAppening like that would plzzz help me plzzz

Works for me! Thank you. Do you recommend backing up your data in partitions? I was told that making a partition would keep the data i put there safe and intact if the system crashes.
