I agree that the symbol of the cross is actually painful especially when many Chritstians say that God killed Jesus who supposedly came to die. His life was cut short because people rejected him, persecuted jim and finally killed him. So the symbol of the cross is painful to me.

all these images of crosses are beginning to look like relics any more Jesus fish(dagon) cross w/ the loopy(isis), or crossses with no christ have turned into the snake on the staff in the O.T. lets put down these images of things(dove/ishtar) and worship in spirit as directed by Jesus be cause God IS Spirit.

the tri-une Gods hav existed long before Christ as i said.but in christianity it is a new concept(325a.d. council of nicene)this is where Athanasias comes in. it was HIS belief from training he recieved from Origen. both these men philosophers(col.2:8 is Gods take on the philosophers).greeks living in Alexandria the melting pot of then rome. its always been a dad,mom, son gods aspect to pagans(even catholics today). but it is as if man created an image for the unknown God(acts17:23-30).

I've heard explainations on this subject before this one surprised me, it brings back the old gods of the egyptians(isis,osirus,horace),babylonians(nimrod/ninus,samiramis/ishtar,tammuz),romans(jupitar,juno,minerva), use the scriptures! in greek the word for spirit also means wind and breath same as ancient hebrew. read John 1:1, then all the Greatings of the letters/epistles of paul and peter which God Head do you have? The Holy Spirit is the power of God, He gives us for help. love yall Family.

Hi Michael, please let me know when and how Jesus said that he planned to die. Do you mean that this is why he came? Can you explain why Judas is not considered as the #1 saint for having helped Jesus fulfil his plan? Why does the Bible say that satan entered Judas? Are you saying that satan too is doing God's will?Why did Jesus have to forgive his murderers since they were doing God's will? I am trying to understand your rational.

It's a decent theory, I would only say that He said He planned to die, and expressed to His Disciples to have no regrets for He could only leave the Holy Spirit in the world in so doing. Secondly, He demonstrated perfect true forgiveness as well as reasons, when He forgave his murderers saying they were not aware of what all they did. And last, He told us the Devil was the ruler of the earth but to fear not.. we live by faith knowing He conquored the world, and He has.. and does thru us each..
