I might agree with the assertion that this movie is slightly overrated among animators. It is an impressive work of art but I wouldn't say it is among my top 20 favorite animations.

This copy quality is poor. Also you probably did not liked the mood? I think the mood is what earns points for this piece. USSR in those times was no comfort country.

Also if there is any information about the performers of the music (pianist of the Bach Pr&Fugue #8 from the WTC at 01:47 ) I would really appreciate our telling us. I could make out the names of the composers in the credits at the end (Johan Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart- that's for the part of harpsichord concerto played in part II), but the words above the names of the composers I couldn't decipher). Thanks again.
