What an oxymoron! The hate crime agenda IS a "hate" crime!

Firstly, where are the social conservatives when it comes to racial hate crimes laws? It seems they only bother attacking these laws when they are being extended to gay and lesbian Americans. As for this nonsense about limitations on freedom of expression there are (contrary to what is claimed in this video) there is language in the bill that specifically says that nothing in it is to be construed as limiting free speech.

LOL...many States have had hate crime statutes for years and "religious speech specifically in regards to homosexuality as a sin" are in NO WAY threatened! In fact, that whack-job Phelps and his Westboro freaks were sued for yelling gay slurs about how all homos go to hell outside a funeral, and the court protected their "sacred right" to be gay-bashing hate mongers.Have no fear-you can still treat people like crap just don't hit them while you do it...

"Canada and every other place where a hate crime statute exists..."Oh yeah....like in 32 STATES?Unless protecting clergy who go around BEATING PEOPLE while they preach about "homosexuality as a sin" is your goal, you have no case. You are exaggerating and twisting facts in an effort to preserve the right to assault and perfome battery on people. Great cause.

This is ridiculous.A hate crime is a VIOLENT crime in which the perpetrator's intent is questioned.Unless a preacher/priest/pastor wants to go around beating/killing people in the name of his religion, hate crimes legislation has NOTHING to do with "freedom of speech" or "freedom of religion".What a load of lies.
