The only other reason I can say is because he was upset he couldn't satisfy his customer. Some Chefs get very upset when they fail to feed their customers.

You're right, he more than likely could.I think keeping that a secret was part of what made this bit funny, but good question, maybe running out of food made such a fool of a chef that he had no choice but to shut up shop *shrug* or maybe shutting up shop to restock is expensive and causes a disaster.

True but there is 1 area I can point out. 3 wild boars may be all it takes to stop his stomach complaining but if he wanted to he could eat alot more. Also, 1 question I wanna know, why was the Chef crying at the end?

Obelix, and good question, this movie is actually considered non-canon, I've seen Obelix eat 3 wild boars and seem satisfied, so this is unusual for him, it's probably inconsistent.

Couldn't agree more.Mind you if that's what Obelisk considered starters, how much would it take to fill him completely?

hehehehe, good quote, eh?Damn I wish I could have joined Obelix

"Did anyone see where the Chef went? He walked out while I was only having my starters"First time I heard that I was laughing so hard my friends thought I'd gone mad.

wonder if it was toriko who showed up

The chef should have had a contingency plan in place in case an eater like Obelix came along. Nitroglycerin-flavoured spices, or something.
