Remember when AC games had background music?
Or when they had memorable characters and music..
Or when they stayed true to the story...
Or when it was something EVERYONE got excited for without the fear of being
Good times those were...

I gotta thank Assassin's Creed II for alot of things. Not only is one of
the best games in the series musically and gameplay wise. It helped me get
over a girl I lost around that time. Plus it helped me get over my
depression from losing a family member. Assassin's Creed II seriously got
me through so much. It's one of the most treasured games I have in my
memory from the last generation. Thanks for helping me Enzio.

So far this generation of games has been so hard to like. Its all "Jump in
quick and play" Look at Destiny, Evolve, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Watch
Dogs. You start it up and its just easy, simple, fun gameplay. For a while.
Theres no story, no heart, nothing for me to want to achieve, nothing for me
to get drawn into, nothing to make me want to play for more than 2 hours.
Where are the Assassins Creed II, Mass Effect 2, hell even MW2 like games
that have fun gameplay but also interesting stories and characters and give
me a reason to want to keep playing. ACII I want to see Ezio grow as a
person and an assassin, to find the line between getting revenge and being
consumed by it. To learn to let go but never forget. In Mass Effect I want
to see Shepard be a badass and kick collector ass, but I also want to see
him become friends and become brothers with his crew. To make a lasting
bond that carries over into the final battle. In MW2 I want to stop Makarov
and Shepard but I know it is less and less likely to happen as I am losing
allies and fighting a losing battle. My team getting picked off 1 by 1 but
still having the energy to push for victory. Now with this generation,
Destiny, You kill things
Evolve, You kill things
Titanfall, You kill things in a robot
SO, You kill things in an OW
Watch Dogs, You kill and Hack things.
Yes this is fun but it wears out very quick. Gameplay can only last for so
long without become repetitive. But if you give the player a reason and a
desire to play that game then I have something to work towards. Not just
getting better armour and guns to kill things quicker, but to see my
characters become better people and see them achieve things thought to be
impossible, not grind against hard enemies trying to get better gear for 3

how hard Ubisoft tries to create a better AC , its still impossible to
match the level of AC2

Ah, the good old days of AC where:
1. Ubisoft actually made good PC ports
2. The game was just the right balance of complex and simple
3. The writing actually got you interested in the history of the time
4. There weren't bugs that made everyone's face disappear
5. When Jesper Kyd was doing the OST. His music style was the soul of the
good old AC games.

I remember back when I was in the eight grade, I was a COD crackhead. Then
one friday my friend traded me his copy of AC2 for GOW2. After that
weekend, my style on games forever changed. I miss the good old days of
AC2. I was blown the fuck away! Long Live AC2
