But religion is what people follow and live by...so take away religion means you take away a lot of hatred and violence towards each other. Also if religion never existed, it could have prevented a lot of shit which has happened over the years.

...continuing: Factionalism has existed ever since humans formed basic organizational structures (IE tribes). And is unlikely to disappear any time soon. Religion is no more at fault for fracturing humans into groups than nation, race, creed or culture are. Religion isn't at fault here, humans are. Get it into your thick skull.

Did you skip history class? Hitler killed Jews on an ETHNIC basis, not religious, you could be Catholic or Protestant, but if you had Jewish roots you'd be sent camping. Islamic terrorism is caused more by economic factors then anything else. Statistic show this; Lebanon and Bosnia, both which have a large number of Muslims exhibit very little support for extremist groups, mainly because they're in a better economic state than Pakistan where extremism has a strong hold on.

Religion splits humans up into even more groups making them stand out more than others which can cause violence and hatred towards one another. E.g. Hitler killed 6 million JEWS because they were JEWISH. Also many people see Muslims as being terrorists, because yes the majority of terrorism is caused by them, but because of there extremest BELIEFS they have done dreadful things, such as 9/11, london bombings, the pentagon etc. All because of what the believe...

"Religion is the cause of the most world wars and hatred."I'm an atheist and a statement like that can only come from ignorance. You obviously can't differentiate between an underlying cause for war and a given reason. Remove religion, and humans will kill each other with the same tenacity, but for a different reason. It's human nature, not a set of beliefs. I'd bet you also believe that Christianity caused the dark ages.

Don't some of you people Read the posts that other personages put on here?! I said, and I'll say it again, . . only those, both believers and none believers in God, who use vulgar, rude, insulting, and 'mad, antisocial, and darn mean' language in their comments are the ones I'm referring to! Now how does that make me a hypocrite?! Not all atheists use bad, poor judgment in their choice of words on this and other Youtube video forum boards!

its not proven but I have a question anyways - why is there any sort of reality to ponder all of this in - at all? Shouldn't absolute nothing be preferred to a material universe in which we live? Why is there anything at all?
