Hum...I thought in the UK you just called them bulldogs. kinda like how Brazilian nuts are just called nuts in Brazil.

If you have a look at the tough dog this breed used to be back before the mid 1800's when the original dog nearly went extinct because they banned bull baiting in England , this dog looks pathetic compared. The poor dogs can hardly breathe because their face is that squashed and they were crossed with a pug so they're considerably smaller than original. I much prefer the American Bulldog which is a good looking dog much more representative of the original but friendly.

I love English Bulldogs, Id like to have one some day. I always heard they have to be very well taken care of and wouldnt want to have one if I couldnt.

I'm sure they're are loving dogs to their family... But in my personal opinion..they are plain ugly!!! Farting and ignorant... Not my type of dog!
