No, that's incorrect. This isn't religious based, this is cultural. Almost all the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) were not virgins. Almost all of them were widows or divorce'. It is part of the Islamic tradition to marry women who are widowed/divorced (to take care of them). Like I said this is cultural. I am Afghan and I know this for a fact.
