Their MTV Unplugged IS.THE.BEST.UNPLUGGED.EVER!!! There's no question about it. And though they ave better live performances (Love Hate Love live facelift) this isn't bad at all, and for those who say Kurt is better I could respect your opinion, but honestly there's no comparison.

Not known for their live performances? Their MTV Unplugged performance is one of (if not THE) best of all the MTV Unplugged performances out there. Also, see my comment about Staley's addiction. 1993 was around the time his heroin addiction was at its peak. It was when his decline in health started.

It could also be because this was in 1993...which was around the time Layne Staley's heroin addiction was at its peak. At the beginning of the vid, it says this was performed in May 1993, and I believe it was the beginning of 1994 that Alice in Chains had to cancel their tour with Metallica because Staley had entered rehab for his heroin addiction. In other words, the "beginning of the end" of Alice in Chains unfortunately.
