I ultimately beat the VTOL Down situation by chucking 3 gas grenades, EMPing the bot, and picking off the stragglers with the tranq rifle.It took a few tries to avoid enemies getting caught in the robot's blast radius.

True, but if there is an enemy out of the blast radius, he's likely to get a few shots in before you can get back to cover/take him out.(BTW, does anyone else think that the typhoon was inspired by the "spawnmass LAM" command from the first game?)

It's surprisingly easy once you have beaten the game a few times.I'm in the middle of a hardmode pacifist run and just successfully saved Malik, and I still have 6 praxis just sitting there because I can't think what I need them for.

I'll match your bet and raise you a Regeneration aug and Dragon's Tooth Sword.Besides, at least the pistol requires you to stay hidden and think about where you put your enemies down, so the rambo approach would still likely end in failure.
