I absolutely love Brandon Heath... I listen to all kinds of music... Christian contemporary is one of my favorites, and this is one of my favorite songs... I know that it's hard for people to understand how someone can go from listening to hip hop, heavy metal, screamo or grindcore to Christian music like this... but I love all music... and sometimes they just have so much heart...

Music Monday! A song that (while not directed at homelessness) embodies the spirit of what our Annual Foot Washing is about. Brandon Heath - Give me your eyes

I feel like I should listen to this song every day so I can remember to treat people like brothers and sisters and not just people who happen to be there. Everyone hurts, loves, and feels just like I do and this song really helps me stop and remember to love people as much as possible.

Sometimes I catch myself getting so caught up in concentrating on my own wisdom and intellect. I've caught myself being arrogant and boastful - thinking that I'm sharing something with someone or, better yet, "enlightening" others. But in fact I'm only displaying how much I know without really seeing a possible need that could be staring me right in the face. How put-offish that must be to someone who may have actually been seeking help from me, but all I did was show them how "smart" I am... I think we're all guilty of it from time to time - just going about our day concentrating on being "us" and being literally blind to those around us. What if we could see those around us the way God sees them for just 1 second?
