Mastering and media each have different impact on the overall sound..Most early CD's were analog masters set to a digital medium. Was it pointless then to get a CD? May as well buy vinyl since it's just an analog master anyway...Mp3 and downloads killed CD's, not vinyl. But vinyl found a niche with audiophiles that made it immune to the CD's demise. This is why CD's will die, yet vinyl will survive.

I love that!! "You experience it instead of hearing it." That's awesome. I'm 13 and just started collecting records. Vinyl is a beautiful thing!

I love the allure and nostalgia that vinyl has, but if the music is recorded in a DAW, like almost all music these days, it seems like a moot point to put something on vinyl. Then it's exactly the same as CD quality and practically the same as .AIFF/FLAC files. Sure, The Manor and Musicol (to name a few) might still record all in analogue, but studios and DIY recorders find it very hard to sequence tracks with a razor blade.Still, I'd like to start collecting vinyl... for some reason...

Don't worry guys, we just haven't cleaned the grooves on the vinyl. Ahh, much better! :)
