Wow this song is incredible... why did Somebody I used to know get so

Many people seem to think that this song is about humans destroying the
environment, which I have no trouble believing, but I almost feel like this
song was written specifically to describe a situation involving a friend of
mine and her husband. As I read the lyrics, it's just eerie how well it
applies to their situation. Or at least, what it was the last time that I
talked to her about it. That's what I love about music: The song can mean
something totally different to one person from what the song's creator
originally intended for it to be about. Music really is in the eye of the
